Here Kitty

Today I made a couple of last minute treat boxes for Halloween. The first one is the Big Shot Pro milk carton box. I used CC Designs "kitty" stamp. The punch is a Martha Stewart punch around the page called cracks that I bought from J's. It reminded me of an animal print which is why I got it.The spooky fence die is from Sizzix.
The 2nd treat box is also a Big Shot Pro die called coffin with lid. I used CC Designs "witch" stamp. I found both of the stamps in the yellow tagged marked down bin at the store. This box can hold quite a bit of candy or treats in it. And I finally got to use this new Spellbinder's die called crown circles. This is really a nice die and it looks much better than the picture on the package.
Thanks for stopping by today and I really appreciate all your sweet comments! Have a great Halloween!!!

Eclips Halloween card

Hello and hope your Thursday is off to a great start. Well, yesterday I took out my Eclips machine and thought I'd try out some of the features that I haven't used yet. Which is the reason I chose to cut this haunted house. I like the fact that I can pick and choose which embellishment I want to cut and not have to waste any paper. It was so easy and everything fit perfectly as I put the colored pieces on the house. It made a big difference as you can see in this next photo. I wanted it to look dimensional, and not flat.
The haunted house and bats were cut from the Holiday cartridge.
The yellow background paper is embossed using the Tim Holtz Halloween night & poison folder set. The fence is also a Tim Holtz edge die called "on the fence". And the border punch is by EK Success and I can't remember the name.
Sorry if the photos look dark but I took them in my kitchen and today there is no sun.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Couple treat ideas

This is the project that we made at J's this past Saturday. We made the bag out of a Hero Arts envelope. I have tons of colored envelopes that I kept to use for something...someday. We used Hero Arts cling spiderweb stamp for the background, Dandelion Designs Count Baxter and give me something good to eat stamps. The punch is a MS punch called graveyard which I found in the yellow tagged marked down bin at the store. And this bag can hold quite a bit of candy too. Here is something I cut out with the Eclips machine which in my last post, I said I would show you. This is the the same "hanging bag" for the Big Shot Pro machine but now there is a cartridge that has all the same boxes and bags that you can cut out in different sizes. The cute spider and witch hat is from another cartridge called Holiday. I'm having fun going through all the different cartridges and cutting shapes out with my Eclips machine.
Keep checking back as I make different projects with the Eclips machine.
Also, if you noticed the Sizzix blinkie on the top right side of my sidebar, there will be 60 designers doing a Sizzix bloghop beginning November for 7 weeks. I feel so honored that they asked me to join them. It is so exciting and will be keeping me very busy too!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Monday!!!

Let's go shopping

Lately, I've been taking out my Sizzix Eclips machine and trying to learn all the different features that this machine comes with. I am starting to get used to it but I have such a bad memory that I tend to forget how to get to where I want to go.
The machine is so amazing when it cuts that I couldn't believe how smooth and quick I was able to cut this ornate gate out. If you have this machine, this is on the holiday cartridge.
I used CC Designs "shopping" girl stamp since I do love to go shopping.
The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch called pinking scallops which I bought from the store.
I finally got around to making the pop-up bat. I decided to put it on this box (box #2) instead of inside a card. I glittered his wings with Doodlebug fine glitter.
Box #2 is a discontinued die but I'm sure some of the stores still have it.
And lastly, I decided to make a full bat to hang from the ceiling. You just have to cut out more circles to make a full bat.
Thanks for stopping by today and I know I haven't been posting much but check back here again to see the boxes that I cut out with the Eclips machine. Have a great day!!!

Boo!

My craft table has a lot of bits and pieces of scraps and punched out pieces laying on it. Some of these are from testing defective punches or dies. And while I was staring at the punched out bat and fence diecut, I picked up some other scraps and put them together to make this card. Very easy.
I embossed the background piece with a Sizzix batty folder and used Coordinations whitewash paper. Have you tried the Tim Holtz distress tool? It's great for distressing the edges of your paper.
I stuck googlie eyes on the bat which I found at Ben Franklin Crafts. The "boo!" is a new clear stamp from Hero Arts.
Hope you're having a great humpday! Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Trick or treat

This past Saturday I went to J's to do a make & take. We made this cute little Halloween treat box using an older Sizzix die called petal card. First we stamped the box using Hero Arts magical background cling stamp. Then we used the little monsters stamp from Dandelion Designs and everyone colored with copic markers. The trick or treat is a new Hero clear stamp. We used Memento inks for stamping. I love the smell of the inks. It has this sweet smell to it.
And lastly, we put stardust stickles on the monsters.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a wonderful Monday!!!
