Meeting Kris

Last week Friday, I finally got to meet in person, Kris from Maui and her hubby. She's the sweetest thing!!! I met her through blogland and she's got so many creative ideas on her blog. Go check her out. Plus she's on several design teams. She has 2 beautiful daughters and another baby on the way. She even brought me some delicious cookies from Maui. Thanks Kris!!!I made her a little goodie bag to take back home. I put some stamps in this bag but I couldn't fit the rest of the items in it.
This die is a Sizzix pro die called tall bag. I've used it so many times for different things. The stamp is from CC Designs called Little Bug Emma. She looks a little crooked but she isn't. It must of been the way I took the picture. I lost my photo editing program on my old computer so I'm using the one that comes with this computer.
Well, thanks for stopping by today! I'm getting ready to do another tv shoot today for the Joy of Crafting show. Have a great Wednesday!!!

Stinky day

This was me the day my computer crashed. Lol! Actually, I made this card the day before and I was all ready to post it and I couldn't get my computer to turn on.I used Dandelion Design stamps and now I can't remember the name of the skunk. I cut the scalloped edge card piece with the new Tim Holtz edge die. Grass punch is a Martha Stewart punch.
Sorry for such a short post today but I have a long day ahead. Have a great Tuesday!!!

I'm back

After 14 years of windows pc's, I switched to a Mac. And I totally love it!!! I still have lots to learn since it is a little different from what I am used to but it is so worth it.
I actually made this card a couple weeks ago along with some other cards but haven't been able to post it since my computer crashed. I found this stamped image on my piles of scrap and decided to use her. It is from the Hero Arts clear set called "sweet wonderful you".
The punched flower on the card is a Martha Stewart punch called "pop-up water lilly" and comes in 2 sizes.
Here's a closer view on the flower and how it looks popped up.
Thanks for stopping by today and I know it's been awhile since I posted anything crafty but I hope to get back into the groove now that I have my new computer. Have a wonderful day!!!

No picture post

I actually had several cards to post the other day but with a blink of an eye, everything was gone. My computer is gone and everything on it is gone. I am using my husband's really old computer just to get online. I'll be at Ben Franklin Crafts Market City store this Saturday from 10-12 pm doing a make & take at their paper party. If you are coming, please bring a pair of scissors and adhesive and hope to see you all there.
Have a great evening!!!

Apple Emma

Oh my...I guess it has been awhile since I last posted something. Lately I've been trying to eat more fruit. Bananas are my favorite and I eat them everyday when I can get my hands on buying them from Sam's. Apples are another favorite but I have to be in the mood because it takes time cutting the wedges and peeling the skin off. Until recently my husband showed me this wonder tool for cutting apple wedges. One push and it's all cut for you. I am so behind the times when it comes to kitchen gadgets. So yesterday I was feeling fruity and decided to take out my Apple Emma stamp from CC Designs and finally put some ink on her. I used glossy accents on all the red apples. You can sort of see the shine.
And I've been seeing a lot of cards where the insides are decorated too so I decided to try it on this one. That border punch is a Martha Stewart punch and I can't remember the name of it. But I did get it from the store.I had a wonderful surprise from one of our customers Diane. She sent me a beautiful Mother's Day tag card with a container filled with one of the best Chinese almond cookies I ever tasted. I've been eating some everyday and the container is almost empty. Yummy!
Before I forget, I'll be doing a make & take at Ben Franklin Crafts Market City location for their annual paper party this coming Saturday, May 15th. Hope you can join us!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you had a wonderful relaxing Mother's Day yesterday!

Thursday

Somedays I can't think of a title for my posts and so I try to keep it real simple. Thursday is the name of this new stamp from The Greeting Farm. She caught my eye while I was figuring out which stamp I wanted to make a card with. The beanie on her head reminds me of my daughter who likes wearing stuff like that.
I found this giant ric rac in one of my drawers and that's how I chose the colors for this card. The background is a stamp from Hero Arts called cityscape which I bought to use on one of my scrapbook layouts. The border punch is a new one from EK Success called bubbles.
Today I'm working on my project for the make & take for Ben Franklin Crafts Market City paper party this month.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!!
