Boo to you!

I should be getting myself ready to leave the house but I wanted to post some things that I haven't had a chance to post. This MS haunted house punch has been on my mind for awhile and so I had to go and get one from the store.
I used one of my leftover boxes from a previous make & take for the box. It is box #2 from Sizzix. And it's green. More green scraps in my scrap box. My gf Cheri from Sizzix is here in Hawaii and she just gave me this ghost die. I filled this box with quite a lot of candies. Here is how it looks empty. I used the MS drippy goo punch to decorate around the box.
This past Saturday, I flew to the Hilo Ben Franklin store to do a make & take for their annual paper party. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of my make & take. I'll post it later. Anyways, Lynn from Lynn's Craft Blog stopped by to say hello and she made me this real pretty beaded earrings. If you check out her blog, she loves to make jewelry. Thank you so much Lynn and I love dangly earrings. And Jenny from Hilo, she also stopped by to give me one of these really cute treat boxes that she made and put a lot of Big Island Candies (cookies) in the box. Please visit her blog because she has a lot of great ideas on her blog. She is so sweet and I met her from my husband's store. So nice to meet up with other fellow bloggers! Thanks Jenny and hope to see you soon!
Ok, this is turning out a lot longer than I expected.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you at one of the make & takes we will be doing this weekend.

Tweets to you

Lately, I've been using a lot of green. Not sure why but there's a lot of green scraps in one of my piles. I made this card Saturday morning right before running out the door to go to my make & take at the store. The background is the new Sizzix spring set textured impressions embossing folder. And tweety is from the baby collection.
I like how just adding a textured background adds to the card. And for all you card makers out there, Sizzix has a new machine called the Texture Boutique. You can texturize all your background papers to make your cards. It's a very affordable machine and very portable to take with you anywhere if you just want to make cards. This is what we had for our make & take at the store this past Saturday. It was a real easy triangle box that you can put candy kisses or hersheys nuggets in. We used Dandelion stamps to decorate the box. Super cute to give treats for Halloween.
Well, once again Cheri from Sizzix will be in town and we will be doing make & takes at all the Ben Franklin Craft stores on Oahu. We will be in Hilo for their paper party this coming Saturday, September 26th. If you live in Hilo, hope to see you there!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Monday!!!

Make & take at J's

I just noticed that it's been almost a week since I last posted something. Anyways, I'm going to be doing a make & take tomorrow, Saturday September 19th at the store from 10-12 pm. It will be a fast an easy Halloween treat bag.
I've been using my spare time to work on projects for the Joy of Crafting tv show taping which is actually today. This is for the Christmas show which airs in November.
Next week Saturday, I'll be in Hilo at Ben Franklin Crafts for their paper party doing a make & take. And the following weekend, my gf Cheri from Sizzix and I will be doing make & takes at all the Ben Franklin Craft stores on Oahu. I'll be posting the dates and times for each location.
Sorry I don't have a photo to share with you today but I did make something last night and need to take a photo of it later so I can post it.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you at J's tomorrow!

Count Baxter

Over the Labor Day weekend, I made this card using another one of Jean's new stamps for Halloween. Baxter is all dressed up and ready for trick or treating and he vants some candy! I used the Cuttlebug woodgrain folder to emboss the background. On the purple piece of cardstock, I used Hero Arts dotted background stamp and clear embossing powder to make the image stand out and labels 3 nesties.
The MS spiderweb border punch is so cute and punches well through cardstock. The word stamp and candies are also part of the new release from Dandelion Designs. Hope you have a vonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Swashbuckling Elliot

This is the first time ever that I went out of my comfort zone and used a gray color as the base of my card. Have you ever used gray? As I was layering all my pieces, it just seemed to go better with the colors than black. This cardstock is actually a doublemates so the other side is black. The stamp is a new one that was just released from Dandelion Designs. The pumpkin is another new stamp that I inked and cut out and put in Elliot's hand. And since I just had to use my MS punch, I punched a spiderweb for the background. It takes 2 punches to make this. One for the corners and one for the borders.
Hope you're having a wonderful humpday and thank you for stopping by!

Another scallop bag #2 revision

Oops! I forgot to post this on Sunday like I said I would. This is from the same die that I used on the post before this but I changed it up a little. So far, I used this die 3 different ways and I'm not sure which is my favorite. All stamps are from Hero Arts Halloween Ink 'n Stamp set. These stamps are smaller but they fit perfectly on the scallop circle punch from EK Success.
How was your Labor Day weekend? It was nice and relaxing for me since I actually got to spend some time with my hubby for a couple days.
Hope you're enjoying your Monday and thanks for stopping by today! I have another card to share with you and this time I won't forget to post it.

Only treats please

Awhile back in April of this year, I made this favor bag and used the Sizzix baby hippo die to decorate it. Well, the other day, I sat down and played with the same die and made this Halloween treat bag. I wanted it to look simple but of course making a shaker thingy isn't quite that simple if you're trying it for the first time. And because I didn't have any of those tiny beads, I substituted chunky glitter for the beads.
Word stamp is Dandelion Designs and that cute little spider is from Hero Arts Ink 'n Stamp Halloween set.

Come back tomorrow because I made this bag into another different treat bag. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're enjoying your Labor Day holiday weekend!

Flower bag revision

I always seem to challenge myself to see how a die can be used in different ways. This die is actually one of the newer released XL dies that Sizzix came out with. It's almost the same as the scallop bag die except this one has a little flower on the edge of the closure. After I cut the pieces out, I made the bag look more like a box.
You can see how the opening is wider and would hold a lot more goodies or treats inside of it. I used Elliot from Dandelion Designs as my image. He's such a happy little guy. The little dots on the box is a stamp from Hero Arts. Can you believe I cannot seem to remember the name of that stamp. Anyways, I embossed it with clear embossing powder to bring the dots out on the cardstock. I love this cardstock from American Crafts.
Here's a shot from the top of the bag/box. As you can see, it is quite big to hold some sweet surprises.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great humpday!!!

I thought it was Baxter

But his name is Buddy. LOL! I get myself all confused with the names of Jean's animal stamps. Well anyways, I had an extra pendant diecut which I had spritzed with some Ink Potion #9 and didn't want to waste it so I made another card similar to the one in the post below. This time, I scored the diecut as you can see in this first photo to give it a more 3-D effect. It makes the pendant pop-up on top of the card. The only thing about this card is it might be a little harder to mail. Supplies:
Spellbinders shapeabilities contemporary hearts, Dandelion Designs stamp, nestabilities in classic and scallop circles, swiss dots folder, Doodlebug glitter dots, Worldwin cs and Offray ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!
